This faucet water filter is best suited for someone who needs a steady supply of drinking water and water for cooking. Perhaps you have a family you are supplying. The filter pitcher just can't supply you fast enough. You want something that is easy to install and easy to replace filters on. You want something with little up front cost. Your water is already safe but you want the added protection.

Its Claim to Being "Best"

ConsumerSearch.com has made a rather exhaustive review of 30 different reviews and then compiled the results. They note that faucet water filters are the preferred type in most reviews and that this particular model "gets more nods from reviewers than any other filter of any kind."

Its Features/Advantages

• It filters water much faster than pitcher filters. It filters .66 gallons per minute.
• It's easy to install and easy to replace filters when needed.
• It's certified to reduce a broad range of contaminants including chemicals, microbes and metals.
• It removes bad tastes and odors as well as chlorine.
• It removes even cryptosporidium and giardia cysts which is rare for a faucet filter to be able to do.
• Filters out particles larger than 5 microns.

Its Disadvantages

There are about 60 reviews on Amazon.com ranging from very positive to very negative and everything in between. One customer says "I wouldn't trade it for any other brand" and another, "best money I ever spent." But then there is the owner who says the first one leaked after 6 months and the second after 2 days. Another complains of a plastic ring that seems to break after 4 or 5 months requiring purchase of a new system each time. One owner review captures both the positive and negative in saying, "The water is great. The cartridges last an acceptable amount of time but are expensive. The construction is somewhat shoddy and you'll want to replace yours within a year or two."
