The Best Drinking Water Comes from the
Best Automatic Distiller:
Waterwise 7000

Who Needs It?

For those who desire the best drinking water of any type of system and don't mind the slowness of the process. Distilled water is boiled till evaporated and then condensed through cooling it. Any substances that do not evaporate are left behind. Distillers remove the widest variety of pollutants from water of any single purification method. This is why we can call it "the best drinking water". The one class of pollutants not removed are volatile organic chemicals (VOCs) which evaporate. They are removed by the Waterwise 7000 by an additional carbon post-filter. There is an optional 10 inch carbon block pre-filter for added filtering. The capacity of this distiller is capable of supplying a family with "the best drinking water".

Its Claim to Being "Best"

Colin Ingram, an expert on all aspects of drinking water, in his book The Drinking Water Book, gives the Waterwise 7000 his highest rating of "Excellent++" when you include the optional 10 inch carbon block prefilter.

Its Features/Advantages

  • This is a high quality stainless steel distiller.

  • The stainless steel boiling chamber is accessible and easy to clean, which is essential maintenance for all distillers.

  • There is a countertop model with a 3 gallon tank for the distilled water. There is also a floor-standing unit with an 8 gallon tank or a 12 gallon tank.

  • It is designed for safety. There are no visible controls accessible to children and no exposed hot surfaces.

  • This unit will distill 1 gallon in 3 hours.

  • An optional pump can be added for a countertop faucet.

Disadvantages

There are several disadvantages to this type of filter, even though it provides the best drinking water. It is slow, taking 3 hours to give you 1 gallon of clean water. It takes up room, depending on the size of your storage container (3, 8, or 12 gallons). It is so thorough in removing everything from the water that it even removes the natural and healthy minerals from your water as well as the contaminants. The cost per gallon can also be expensive depending on the cost of electricity in your community. The Waterwise 7000 takes 1,200 watts of electricity. Distillation is electricity intensive.
